Free show Saturday at the historic Caffe Lena

The Library of Congress calls Caffè Lena “An American treasure.” Bob Dylan has played there. Come be a part of history!

Canadian children’s music star Chris McKhool is all about showing kids just how much fun making music can be. In his shows, McKhool, along with his band, Sultans of String, introduces kids to a number of music styles, including rumba, flamenco, gypsy jazz and classical music. McKhool, who has drawn comparisons to Raffi and Canadian children’s music star Fred Penner, involves kids and parents in his performances. He invites kids onstage to play musical instruments from around the world, and gets them clapping, singing and dancing. McKhool brings his fun to Caffe Lena, where he’ll play a free afternoon show, “Fiddlefire!,” on Saturday. 3 p.m. Saturday. Free. Caffe Lena, 47 Phila St., Saratoga Springs. 518-583-0022; caffelena.org
